“This week in the housing and transportation group we have made some significant progress and the team members now actually feel like we have started “working” towards meeting our goals and accomplishing our mission. We have a finalized group of 5 students from a variety of backgrounds including architecture, engineering, and business. The group has laid out a timeline for conducting research, which spans 5 weeks, has made plans to put together a proper business model, and has divided the topic into subtopics.

We have separated the work for “Housing” and “Transportation” and developed subcategories under each topic. Housing will now include Retail Commercial, Office Commercial, Residential, Industrial, and Public Spaces. Transportation will now include Roadways, Railways, Seaports, Airports, and Interconnectivity. We believe that assigning one housing and one transportation topic to each group member is a good way to organize the research, and we will rotate through the topics each week so that every member has the chance to explore each topic. And with that, we begin the efforts to “Make Vizag Smart”!
