Post-midterm and low stress – a good combination to have when discussing judge feedback and project improvements. The feedback we got from the judges this week were valuable sources of information to improve our presentation for the Chief Minister in Vizag. One of the biggest decisions we need to make at this point is, how to integrate housing and transportation together using our proposed technology. Our group spoke about this and some of us were in the favor of removing the housing section as a whole as our proposal does not directly link with housing but works very well as a solution for transportation planning in the city.

Some other feedback we got was how we should create mockups for our application to understand and show its working better, as well as a prototype to accompany the presentation. One of the judges also suggested that we combine our efforts and ideas with some of the other groups to make a holistic solution, and he really liked our idea of having “a single, unified Vizag” hence he suggested this to our group. Lastly, we learned through this mid point presentation that we need to make our presentations more concise yet efficient to clearly communicate our ideas and goals to the chief minister. We must convince India to follow our futuristic approach to make Vizag and India smart. As rightly said – “There is no Smart City without Smart people”.
