This week we, the education group, have been focusing on brainstorming ideas on how to polish and improve our product to be able to create the value that the citizens of Vizag want and need. As, we take a step aside and analyze our product from the outside perspective we have been able to understand the feedback we received from Param about our midterm presentation, needing to focus on market segmentation and providing the skills that Vizag’s citizens need in order to become employable. Param advised us to identify the three top hiring industries in Vizag to create certify programs to get more citizens employed. After Thursday’s class, listening to India’s ambassador, and learning about his perspective for a solution for India’s education made us realize that we are on the right path. In other words, we are actually creating a product that has an existing market in India.

Moving forward, our goal is to start working on creating the different programs and start on the website development in order to have it ready for testing when we go to Vizag. This week we will be meeting with Professor Darwin to discuss the feedback from the judges and discuss the next steps as we approach the November 19th deadline. Also, we will be meeting with the ambassadors of a private educational institution this Tuesday. Our goal is to learn more from their experience as what it took and the obstacles they faced as they were in the process of getting their school become a reality. Overall, this coming week our focus is to get the information and insight from the different individuals from India and the education sector in order to move on forward with our idea.
