Completed Work stream from the last week:

  • Amy/Mischa refined the business model by estimating how many sensors can be sold during the pilot program, transition phase, and through cap and trade
  • Trevor and Chaitanya – hosted a hackathon for team members who wanted to learn how to code and they created a shell where our data will be stored. See our web portal at: http://ecosense.mybluemix.net/#
  • Natalie – She was in communication with Airsense regarding the partnership and fleshing out the details of when will receive the prototype to test our product
  • Wendy – Created more info graphic of our model so that it will be easier for the audience to understand how our product will work. She also add new information the presentation to support why pollution is one of the biggest problems in Vizag compared to other particular matters.

Workstream for this week:

  • Amy/Mischa will further define the financial model for cap and trade by comparing it to CA’s model. They will also research how many plants/business are within each sector so we can get a more accurate model
  • Natalie will reach out to Airosense to confirm the partnership details. Topics she will be looking at are:
  • How much does your service cost?
    • Both for us
    • And for projecting cost in the long run
  • Where are the sensors?
  • Is your system modular? Can we add a photo sensitivity sensor?
  • What is the hardware behind your sensor?
    • Arduino board?
  • What is your current goal/business model?
  • Can we measure SOx and NOx
  • Trevor will look into the data to find out exactly how much is pollution is actually in Vizag and any current measures in place
  • Chitanya will further develop the web portal by fixing any bugs that came up
  • Wendy/Team – Look into ways we can incorporate more of the energy sector into our presentation.
