As the semester comes to a close, the Housing and Transportation Group has unified its solution to address both the housing and transportation aspects of the people of Vizag and the infrastructure of the city. Early last week the group met to absorb and process the feedback from the judges in the many presentations we gave this semester, as well as the feedback from our peers in the class. We then watched the video of our presentation and took note of things that needed improvement, especially the flow of the presentation and any points that were not explained well enough or were not clear. After putting these pieces together, we met with Professor Darwin and Dr. Rao to discuss out thoughts on the balance of ideas of housing and transportation. Dr. Rao told us that our approach to housing is very much needed and it does not make sense to focus more on transportation given the current state of India. Professor Darwin echoed this sentiment and encouraged us to write a script so that our presentation flows better and effectively addresses housing without getting confusing.
Dr. Rao further gave us the names of a few Indian firms working on technology that is very much like the VizagONE system we are currently developing. He told us that our idea is great and very current in the Indian framework, and encouraged us to look at these other companies to get inspiration and to further improve our technology. Professor Darwin then told us to add more numeric figures to our financial models to make it more compelling to the audience. Later that evening we met with Param Singh of IoTracks as well, who encouraged us to follow what Dr. Rao and Professor Darwin have told us. He also added that we should do some thorough research in housing to ensure that we are able to offer an effective solution that is in line with the current workings of the city. With all of this feedback the team met yesterday to finalize the presentation and increase the focus on housing, and then met again today to practice the presentation and develop a smooth flowing script. To close this semester on a high note, the Housing and Transportation team looks forward to impressing the leadership community at Berkeley with a stunning presentation tomorrow, and the world at large with an amazing presentation in Vizag.
