This week the telecommunications group made progress in two very important areas. In past weeks, our presentation has been visually weaker in comparison to other groups. The content was strong but was not visually represented in a clear and concise manner; as a result the audience tended to loose focus. Our group used the feedback from previous weeks to improve our presentation further and build upon our “story.” Taking the critiques into consideration paid off and we no longer struggled with miscommunication. The judges clearly understood our project and proposed solution, however the issue of innovation persisted. A major critique throughout this semester has been, what is your innovation? This weekend the SigFox Hackathon gave our group insight into a realistic innovation we can contribute.

A “Google hangout” meeting was held to review goals over Thanksgiving break. The major focus is to use the lessons learned at the hackathon to create a more personal innovation. We hope to use SigFox as a jumping off point for our own scalable solution.
