The Energy Group had a team member dinner meeting this week where we got to know one another better and discussed a working strategy for how we plan to approach the project in the following months. Firstly, we decided to meet every Friday outside of our designated class time to discuss our progress and establish new deliverables. We agreed that this would keep us all accountable and on track.
We also developed some vague goals for the project which we hope to clarify within the next few weeks as we learn more about Smart Cities and Vizag. Our team would like to focus on a specific energy problem area in Vizag, rather than tackling many areas. We feel that this will allow us to develop a more complex and wholesome project that is scalable. We agreed that this would be the best approach with the project timeline of 1 semester. In addition to completing the tasks for Thursday as indicated in Professor Darwin’s email, our team will conduct research on aspects we feel will shape Vizag’s smart energy solution(s). We plan to do this by each completing approximately 5 literature reviews with 1 page of bullet points and take aways each. This information will not only be available for our group in the form of a Google folder, it will also be available to the rest of the class. #openinnovation
