This week we further discussed ideas. This time there was more focus
on practicality: like what is the most we can achieve given our
limitations (time, resources, and data). We are trying to maximize our
end product. Thus we fleshed out a few different business models. A
new angle we looked at was computer security and integrity. While this
is exactly physical safety and security. Having data that is secure,
and indestructible will inspire confidence in the government, which is
important. The amount of research done by the team was impressive, we
now know more about Vizag than we ever thought we would know about any
city. Regardless though our data remains very Wikipedia-esque, while
this is great for domain knowledge. In computer science terms it is
almost useless.

It is thus with great anticipation that we await responses from India.
We are ready to take the big leap forward and start iterating and
coding. We hope that they send us a TB of actual data, but being more
realistic, a phone number or skype handle would also work.

Furthermore using what we learned from Thursday’s lecture we are
looking at other companies to partner with for Open Innovation
business model.
