This week, we meet as a group on Sunday evening and had a very productive meeting. In preparation for the meeting we had asked each member of the team to write down what they thought would be a good script for the presentation. At the beginning of the meeting, we then asked each member of the team to read out their script. This activity came out of Professor Darwin’s emphasis on the delivery of a presentation and not just the content of the presentation. The activity was a success and as a group we were immediately able to zone in on which aspects of each person’s script we liked and wanted to incorporate into the final script.

Apart from the script, we also made considerable progress on building the web platform. For instance, we are almost completely done with building the main page of the website which includes a summary of the value we bring to each user, a snippet of the projects offered and a short blurb on each of the team members behind “certify”. In addition, we also reviewed all the comments given to us by our peers. In response to these comments, we are going to include a slide on “risks and mitigations” that covers most of the minor concerns raised by our peers and we are going to include a slide giving a brief overview of our solution so that the audience is absolutely clear about how it operates. During the meeting we also thought more about how to include entertainment within our model and came to the conclusion that entertainment could be incorporated through a demo day event for the top performers of each project.
