Although it’s only been 6 days since our arrival to India, many of us have already adapted and immersed ourselves into the Indian culture. We have had the opportunity to visit local shops, and explore many great sight seeing spots, including Rishikonda Beach, which has a spectacular view of the city.
Since many of us still had a lot of work to prepare for our final presentations, we took advantage of the down time and continued to refine our project. We sat with key leaders including some of our own judging team from UC Berkeley. On the same day, several of our groups had meetings to meet with chief officers in the city of Vizag, many of returned to the hotel with signed MOUs. My group (the education group) signed an MOU with Chegg, a company that promotes online education. We received a private tour of their headquarters, and discussed more ways in which our model could help them and vice-versa. The dialogue made for an innovative discussion. We are thrilled with the opportunities that presented themselves in India. It has been a great learning experience!
